Art for Activists

How it Works

  1. I (Whitney Jayne) create art and projects designed to inspire the inner activist, for the purpose of spreading positive change, sparking productive conversations, and connecting the pieces of our world that are broken and divided.
  2. When visitors purchase my art products, anywhere from 10-100% (depending on the project) of proceeds are donated to environmental/social causes.

Because small things make a big difference. I realize it's easier said than done, but if we all put the same amount of effort in to taking care of each other as we did taking care of ourselves, we'd all be thriving! My activism art and projects are created as a way for me to do my part in making the world better. As you may have read in my bio, I don't necessarily have the know-how to affect positive change directly to all the causes I'd like to, but I have figured out a way to use my art to support those who can. I hope you'll join me!

Where do the proceeds go?

The ultimate goal is to rally enough inner activists, excited to join the Art for Activists family in using the art found here as a starting place to spread goodness and awareness through our world, so that together we can support many different organizations and causes in work that matters. Currently, as we work on building those connections, proceeds will be proudly donated to:

American Civil Liberties Union

To protect our minority and lgbtq friends, and fight for civil rights like women's health/equal pay, prison reform, disability support, ending trafficking and child exploitation, and anti-discrimination

Climate Reality Project

The Climate Reality Project's mission is mission is to catalyze a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every level of society.

National Resources Defense Council

To protect our land, oceans, wildlife, and natural resources, promote renewable energy, and address climate change

Planned Parenthood

Not only is Planned Parenthood the world's most trusted provider of reproductive healthcare, but they also lead in reproductive and sexual health education, women's health advocacy, and advancing global health, increasing access to healthcare and education.

The largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organization, HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.

American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

To protect our furry friends  from cruelty and neglect through rescue, placement, and prevention, and protection measures.

World Wildlife Fund

To protect our endangered species, by promoting species conservation, fighting to end poaching and wildlife crime, preserving vital habitats, and empower people to protect wildlife

As we grow and expand, we’re actively seeking to partner with more and more social and environmental causes, and grass-roots organizations to help spread awareness, as well as expand resources to help them do what they do best, and grow positive changes in our world.

Unless working on a mini campaign, or under a certain timeline for a specific cause, project or fundraising efforts, Proceeds will generally be donated annually on Giving Tuesday (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving). Many programs/organizations often have a sponsor that will match donations on that day. This will help us double the good! 🙂

Do you know of an organization that we can help?

If you are a cause/org working for environmental, animal, or social justices, we'd love to work with you. Click here to chat with me about getting some custom art and/or products made for your cause free of charge, designed to help you spread awareness and bring in more funding  for your cause.
